ABOUT

Hi, I’m Yunge! I just received my M.S. in Computer Science from New York University in December 2025. At NYU, I have been incredibly fortunate to work with Professor Claudio Silva at NYU VIDA Group on urban data and AR/VR applications, Professor Julian Togelius on Game AI and procedural content generation, and Professor Erdem Varol on the visualization of fly brain connectome data.

Currently, I am a research intern at the MIT Media Lab in the Multisensory Intelligence group, advised by Professor Paul Pu Liang. My research lies at the intersection of AI, Computer Graphics, and Human Computer Interaction.

With a background in art with over 8000 hours of professional training, I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Animation from School of Visual Arts. My animated film received international awards in Australia, China, Dubai, France, Germany, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the United States, including a premiere in West Hollywood and recognition from producers at Sony, Netflix, and Nickelodeon.

I am particularly interested in building generative models and interactive systems that learn the processes through which people create, rather than only the artifacts they ultimately produce, and in developing AI systems that can participate in these processes while preserving meaningful human control.
