ABOUT
Hi, I’m Yunge. I am a second-year Master’s student in Computer Science at New York University. I have been incredibly fortunate to work with Professor Erdem Varol on the visualization of fly brain connectome data, and with Professor Julian Togelius on procedural game level generation.
Currently, I am a research intern at the MIT Media Lab in the Multisensory Intelligence group, advised by Professor Paul Liang, where I focus on applying machine learning to olfaction and multimodal interaction.
With a background in art, I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Animation from School of Visual Arts. My animated film received international awards in France, Spain, Germany, Sweden, Australia, the UK, Dubai, Turkey, the US, and China, including a premiere in West Hollywood and recognition from producers at Sony, Netflix, and Nickelodeon.
My research interests focus on reconstructing human perception through machine learning across multiple modalities, including vision, sound, smell, and brain signals, and transforming these models into creative tools for artists and practical applications in industry.
